Jennifer Vanilla shares new single “Take Me For A Ride” off forthcoming record ‘Castle In The Sky’

We are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Vanilla’s Sinderlyn debut Castle in the Sky is out on August 5th! Created over the course of four years, during which Becca Kauffman, the mastermind behind Jennifer Vanilla, had the realization that they were gender fluid and non-binary. Castle in the Sky draws on the themes of discovery and is a deft and mercurial “jennifreaky” journey, traversing 90s dance music, no wave, art pop, and more. Vinyl is coming soon, but for now you can pre-save, or pre-order your copy on tape!

Alongside the album announcement, Jennifer Vanilla shared their new single “Take Me For A Ride” – a perfectly infectious bop to kick off the summer and accompanied by a fittingly camp music video. Watch and listen below.

I wanted to have some sort of sketch that opens up the video because I think that’s super old school and classic. It’s boring to open music videos with just nothing. When I’m directing something I want to tell a story and add some jazz to the situation. The video to me was all about movement and energy. We needed dancers and we needed pure talent to fill the screen and that’s exactly what we achieved.
